It is better if you can provide the code in question otherwise it's difficult to know what is going on. Please provide. Need to know what the "result" variable is after you call recvln. Also need to know what you have set timeout to be. If you provide more detail on what you are trying to ...

You can log everything received to log file. To start a log file from your macro see here:

Hi, This seems to be the same question as asked in http://logmett.com/forum-index/3/is-there-any-command-in-tera-term-like-scanf-in-c-2988?p=9233#p9233 . It would have been better to post this question there when I asked for an example of what you are trying to send/receive rather than starting a ne...

Is the response line based? I.e. is there an end of line (carriage retrun and/or line feed character) and the end/beginning of the response? If so then here is an example (not tested) using recvln timeout = 5 sendln "switch ok_p" recvln ; may need two of these (one to consume the command e...

Yes, lots. E.g. wait, waitln, waitregex etc.
Provide an example of what you are receiving and what you want to extract from it and then people here can suggest example macro code.

You need to "tell" your PABX (host) to send the file using XMODEM. How that is done (what command to send to your PABX) will depend on the PABX you are using (presuming you PABX supports sending files by XMODEM).

Hi Boris, I didn't vote because none of the options reflected my view. I would have no need for such a tool but I would not want to say/vote that such a tool is not necessary as others might well find it very useful (but I have no way of knowing). So if there was an option for "I do not need su...

Hi luxlcd,
Do you want to send hex from a Tera Term macro or some other way?

As per my question above what exactly do you mean by hex? Do you mean a raw byte (which may not be printable) or do you mean 2 character string representing a hex value for a byte?

Please provide some examples.

Hi Joe, It would be much more odd if there were a signal for end of file. If you need to know end of file look at xmodem or ymodem or zmodem etc. These are protocols for this purpose, making send file into some proprietary protocol by having end (or start or length or CRC) would just be inventing an...

Set the Answerback to whatever (Setup -> Terminal). Then get your microprocessor to send the byte 0x05 and Tera Term will send the Answerback string you defined back to your microprocessor. Just tried it here on V4.93 and it works.

You could put something like this in the loop to have a status box display the loop counter:

Code: Select all

  1. sprintf2 status "no_of_loops = %d" no_of_loops
  2. statusbox status "Status"
  3.

Something like this (not tested) would accumulate the output into a string but you could log it or wrtite to file instead. Depends on what you want to do. It uses a dot for non-printable bytes. setdebug 2 output_string = "" while 1     ; wait for a hex sting representing a byte (seperated ...

There are a few reasons why your macro does not work. I'd use something like this instead: strdim server 24   server[0] = '192.168.1.1 /nossh ' server[1] = '192.168.1.2 /nossh ' server[2] = '192.168.1.6 /nossh ' server[3] = '192.168.1.8 /nossh ' server[4] = '192.168.1.11 /nossh ' server[5] = '192.16...
