sometimes I have a connection problem with teraterm.

I open the connection and see a few characters and after that the terminal doesn't respond any longer.
I check it with procomm plus application and there the same port works fine. A few things to consider:

- I am running a macro on a different teraterm window.
- if I completely restart teraterm and macro the problem is gone.

My system:
OS: windows server 2008 R2
teraterm version: v4.80
com port is a real physical serial port.

since I need this to work in a production environment I really hope we can get to the bottom of this issue!

so after a little more investigation this seems to be linked to a phenoment which occurs when connecting to ports you have previously connected to.

There seems to be "stale" data in a buffer of some kind which gets read during a connect to that port. that data is displayed in the terminal. Sometimes when this happens the terminal just freezes for whatever reason.

I have tried the newest version. v 4.85 and the same thing still happens

I will try to capture a video the next time I see it happen and post a link here!

so here is a video where the bug occurs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V-yZtTuNEE

two windows are open the left window connected to com1 is frozen, reconnecting does nothing to remedy the situation. I even disconnect the right window(com3) and connect it to com1 without any merit.

finally I start a different terminal emulator (procomm plus) and com1 works fine. after restarting teraterm everything is ok and I can connect to com1 again.
