Hi,

I use LogMeTT and TeraTerm every day and have found some very cool things I can do with it.
However, in my view the single biggest gap in these tools is that they appear to be totally devoid of any proper debugging functionality - there seems to be no way to 'watch' the execution of LTT or TTL scripts.

What I would LOVE (and what I believe would make script development much more robust and quicker) is to be able to add objects (variables) to a Watch Window, and to also have a Debug Window which outputs the result(s) of each script line as it is executed so I can see exactly what is happening in memory/comms as it happens.

OR....is there some other built-in debug logging function that I don't know about?

This post applies equally to TeraTerm.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks :)

Hi Sveto,

Unfortunately this will be very hard to do. LogMeTT was developed as completely independent add-on to Tera Term and these 2 programs do not exchange any data. They are even written on different programming languages - Tera Term on C and C++ and LogMeTT on Delphi (object Pascal).

As a first step in that direction I suggested Tera Term Project team to introduce Macro test mode in this post viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1634 , but it remained unanswered :worriedsad:
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris

Yutaka,

What are your thoughts on debugging TeraTerm Macros?
How can it be done, do you think?

Thanks :)
