Hi Boris,

Tera Term next version(4.80) will support for Windows 8.1.
Currently, I am testing the Tera Term on my Windows 8.1 machine.
So, are the LogMeTT and relevant applications capable of supporting Windows 8.1?

Please tell me the answer and I will update below Requirements page.

Thanks.

Hi Yutaka,

I tested LogMeTT on Windows 8 Beta and it worked. I still have to upgrade one of my computers to Windows 8.1 to give you the final answer. Hopefully will do it this week and will post here the results.

Apart from this I started working on 2.10.1 version of LogMeTT that will not require License activation. This will be the only difference from the current 2.9.9 version + few bug fixes. Hopefully we will be able to include it into Tera Term 4.80 package.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris

Hi Yutaka,

I tested LogMeTT and TTLEditor under Windows 8.1. Both are working fine. To make LogMeTT icon visible in the tray the same steps are required as in Windows 7. See topic viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1589 for more details.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris

Hi Yutaka,

I decided to sign new version of LogMeTT with Code Signing certificate that will show my name as the Publisher during LogMeTT installation and will relieve users from annoying Windows popup saying that publisher is unknown.

Unfortunately the process of getting this certificate is longer than I expected and I probably won't have LogMeTT 2.10.1 ready before you release Tera Term 4.80. So, please do not wait for me, we can include new LogMeTT in 4.81 release.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris

Just installed and tested the latest Tera Term, LogMeTT and TTLEditor on MacBook Pro running Windows 8.1 on virtual machine under Parallels Desktop 9. Works perfectly! :)
Thanks.

Hi Yutaka,

As you probably know, yesterday I released new, digitally signed version of LogMeTT 2.10.1. Unlike few previous versions, this version does not require online activation. It also includes my MacroWizard for LogMeTT.

When building next installation package of Tera Term, please replace the earlier version of LogMeTT (2.9.9) with new one. Please make sure the file you use is called Setup_LogMeTT_2_10_1_6.exe and not Setup_LogMeTT_2_10_1_5.exe.

This morning I also uploaded new installation package of TTLEditor. I fixed minor issue when installer window was not appearing correctly under Parallels Desktop 9 on Mac. Please use the file Setup_TTLEditor_1_5_1.exe.

Both latest installer files are available from Download section of this web site.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris

Hi Boris,

Thank you for feedback.
However, Tera Term Project has been built the release package(4.81)
yesterday, and then the Setup_LogMeTT_2_10_1_6.exe and
Setup_TTLEditor_1_5_1.exe will be included into the Tera Term
4.82.

Thanks.

Sure, not a problem. I will just put the note on Tera Term download page advising users to upgrade.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris
