All,

I have to open the new window of tera term using TTL file.

For example:
I have two COM [COM 1 and COM 4]
Using COM 1 window, i have to open COM 4.

Please share the link if already solved topic.

I have tried :

CONNECT "/C=4" [inside ttl file]

Thank you

I visualize three methods to your post:

First Method
1) Simple use keyboard shortcuts <Alt> + <N>.. This will launcha "New Connections" window and you select whether you want a "TCP/IP" or Serial connection. In your case you would click the Serial radio button and see if your COM port is available in the pulldown. If available then choose it and click "OK".

Second Method
1) Launching TeraTerm window by double clicking Tera Term.exe
2) Launching another COM connection using File menu dropdown <Control>/<Macro> then select TTL file which holds the following code:

Code: Select all

  1.
  2.     connect '/C=4'
  3.     settitle 'RUNNING SETUP'
  4.     setbaud 921600
  5.     timeout = 300
  6.

Third Method
1) Write a TTL file with the following code and place it on your root of C: drive

Code: Select all

  1.
  2. ;----------------------------------
  3. ;File name com_launcher.ttl
  4. ;----------------------------------
  5.     connect '/C=1'
  6.     settitle 'RUNNING SETUP'
  7.     setbaud 921600
  8.     timeout = 300
  9.
  10.     pause 1
  11.
  12.     connect '/C=4'
  13.     settitle 'RUNNING SETUP'
  14.     setbaud 921600
  15.     timeout = 300
  16.
  17.     end
  18.

2) Launch TTL file via batch file

Code: Select all

  1.
  2. CLS
  3.
  4. START TTPMACRO.EXE /I C:\com_launcher.ttl
  5.
  6. EXIT /B 0
  7.

In the "First Method" you use existing keyboard shortcuts

In the "Second Method" you will be able to launch another Tera Term window pointing to your new COM port via a TTL macro script.

In the "Third Method" a TTL script via a batch file will launch both windows 1 second apart from each other.

Hope this helps..
