We use Teraterm ttl scripts for a long times (about 7 years) to test Network and Linux applications.
Now, our system engineers almost change laptop from Thinkpad X/T. to MacBook Pro, just like Cisco

We hope can continus to use ttl scripts to do our jobs without vitrual machine in MacOSX.

So, is there any planning to develop treaterm or ttl engine porting to MacOSX ?

we think this is refusing a lots system engineers who were working with Teraterm & TTL scripts.

If anyone want to do this porting , many SE will happy that!

This question/request keeps coming back...

The short answer is NO - unless completely re-written, Tera Term cannot be adopted to run under MacOCX.

There are several reasons: Tera Term is 20 years old application. It is 2 years older that Mac OC, is written on C language and intensively uses Windows APIs. Macro language utilizes DDE mechanism that was first introduced in Windows 2.0 and existed only in Windows and OS/2. If you want to learn more about Tera Term architecture read this article http://logmett.com/tera-term-source-code
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris
