Hi Yutaka,

I installed TeraTerm 4.14 on Windows 98 today and got the following error 2 times during the installation. These errors appeared in DOS windows:

Code: Select all

Path not found - \fonts\TSPECIAL1.TTF
Invalid directory
Path not found - \fonts\TSPECIAL1.TTF
Bad command or file name

Please note this messages did not show up while installing on Windows 2000.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris

Hi Boris,

I add in TeraTerm installer in the following batch file:
This file is launched at installation.
I didn't think that you use Windows98... I am sorry.

[copyfont.bat]
@echo off
set file=TSPECIAL1.TTF
attrib -R %SystemRoot%\fonts\%file%
attrib -R %file%
copy /b /y %file% %SystemRoot%\fonts\
attrib +R %SystemRoot%\fonts\%file%

taskkill /f /im ttermpro.exe /im ttpmenu.exe /im LogMeIn.exe

Hi Yutaka,

I am not using Windows 98 but prefer to test my software on all platforms I can get access to :wink: .

The problem here is that Windows 98 does not have %SystemRoot% variable and that is why your script is failing. I suggest you to replace %SystemRoot% with %WinDir% that works under all versions of Windows.
Also reference to LogMeIn has to be replaced with LogMeTT. So your script should look like:

Code: Select all

[copyfont.bat]
@echo off
set file=TSPECIAL1.TTF
attrib -R %WinDir%\fonts\%file%
attrib -R %file%
copy /b /y %file% %WinDir%\fonts\
attrib +R %WinDir%\fonts\%file%

taskkill /f /im ttermpro.exe /im ttpmenu.exe /im LogMeTT.exe
Thanks.
Best regards,
Boris
