I finally figured out how to enable the "Alt F1" function key on Notpad++ 6.3 or higher to forward you to the http://ttssh2.sourceforge.jp/manual/en/macro/command reference pages on the web.

WARNING: You must have web access in order for these steps to work and also have installed the Syntax Highlighting from this post http://logmett.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2241 before continuing.

IF YOU HAVE NOTEPAD++ 6.3 or higher INSTALLED THEN:
Step 1: Exit notepad++ 6.3 or higher and insure the program is not running.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE NOTEPAD++ 6.3 INSTALLED THEN:
Step 1: Install the latest release http://notepad-plus-plus.org

Step 2: Launch regular notepad that comes with every Windows operating system.
Step 3: Open the following files in regular notepad:
NOTE: Insure Notepad++ 6.3 or higher is not running.

Code: Select all

1.
2. #WINDOWS 7
3. C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\shortcuts.xml
4. C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\shortcuts.xml
5.
6. #WINDOWS XP
7. C:\Program Files\Notepad++
8. C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\Notepad++
9.

Step 4: Overwrite the content seen with the following code by copy and pasting the following XML code in its entirety onto the 2 shortcuts.xml files listed in Step 3.

Code: Select all

1.
2. <NotepadPlus>
3.     <InternalCommands />
4.     <Macros>
5.         <Macro name="Trim Trailing and save" Ctrl="no" Alt="yes" Shift="yes" Key="83">
6.             <Action type="2" message="0" wParam="42024" lParam="0" sParam="" />
7.             <Action type="2" message="0" wParam="41006" lParam="0" sParam="" />
8.         </Macro>
9.     </Macros>
10.     <UserDefinedCommands>
11.         <Command name="Launch in Firefox" Ctrl="yes" Alt="yes" Shift="yes" Key="88">firefox "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"</Command>
12.         <Command name="Launch in IE" Ctrl="yes" Alt="yes" Shift="yes" Key="73">iexplore "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"</Command>
13.         <Command name="Launch in Chrome" Ctrl="yes" Alt="yes" Shift="yes" Key="82">chrome "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"</Command>
14.         <Command name="Launch in Safari" Ctrl="yes" Alt="yes" Shift="yes" Key="70">safari "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"</Command>
15.         <Command name="Get php help" Ctrl="yes" Alt="no" Shift="no" Key="112">http://www.php.net/%20$(CURRENT_WORD)</Command>
16.     <Command name="Get TTL help" Ctrl="no" Alt="yes" Shift="no" Key="112">http://ttssh2.sourceforge.jp/manual/en/macro/command/$(CURRENT_WORD).html</Command>
17.         <Command name="Google Search" Ctrl="no" Alt="yes" Shift="no" Key="113">http://www.google.com/search?q=$(CURRENT_WORD)</Command>
18.         <Command name="Wikipedia Search" Ctrl="no" Alt="yes" Shift="no" Key="114">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=$(CURRENT_WORD)</Command>
19.         <Command name="Open file" Ctrl="no" Alt="yes" Shift="no" Key="116">$(NPP_DIRECTORY)\notepad++.exe $(CURRENT_WORD)</Command>
20.         <Command name="Open in another instance" Ctrl="no" Alt="yes" Shift="no" Key="117">$(NPP_DIRECTORY)\notepad++.exe $(CURRENT_WORD) -nosession -multiInst</Command>
21.         <Command name="Open containing folder" Ctrl="no" Alt="no" Shift="no" Key="0">explorer $(CURRENT_DIRECTORY)</Command>
22.         <Command name="Open current dir cmd" Ctrl="no" Alt="no" Shift="no" Key="0">cmd /K cd $(CURRENT_DIRECTORY)</Command>
23.         <Command name="Send via Outlook" Ctrl="yes" Alt="yes" Shift="yes" Key="79">outlook /a "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"</Command>
24.     </UserDefinedCommands>
25.     <PluginCommands />
26.     <ScintillaKeys />
27. </NotepadPlus>
28.
29.

Step 5: Save these new changes by going to File/Save or CTRL+S.
Step 6: Launch Notepad++ and open your TTL code and place your cursor on a TTL command and hit the "Alt F1" key stroke. If all goes well, a browser will open up and place right on the correct sourceforge help manual page.

Note: There are some TTL commands like "if, then, elseif, else, endif" that will not work because an individual html page was not created but lumped into a single html page. For the most part most commands work great.

Enjoy! :nerd:
