Hi,

LogMeTT 2.9.7 hangs on install on XP SP3.
Note: This is after an uninstall of the version that was installed with TeraTerm 4.64

This occurs when rerunning TeraTerm install (with LogMeTT) or a newly downloaded version.

I can provide you with a csv file generated by Process Monitor, following the activity of the setup, but i cannot seem to attach anything (extension not allowed).
If i can provide more info, please let me know...

Thanks for reporting. I also have XP SP3 on my corporate laptop but did not experience such problem. Please send me message from the Contact Us page of this web site and paste in your csv log.

I am experiencing the same problem. Except it hangs on uninstall.

I tried re-installing it thinking that would help and it hangs on install too.

Thanks for sending me the log from "Contact us" page. Unfortunately there is nothing in it that shows the error, so the log is not really useful.

The fact that among over 110K LogMeTT installations worldwide only 2 people complained about this issue and that installer works fine on my own 2 computers running XP with SP3 makes me think that there is something specific about your Windows setup that causes this. Unfortunately I am not able to investigate this further. The next release of LogMeTT is coming soon and hopefully you will be able to install it successfully. Meanwhile, as a workaround, try to install LogMeTT on another PC and then copy entire LogMeTT installation directory to the machine where the installer hangs.
